Ok, so some of you may have been wondering where I've been? Then again, you may not have :) But, it's simple really, I only just had our first child...so needless to say it's been quite busy!
We had our daughter Eleanore on January 28, 2014 and it's true what they say about mother hood - it takes some adjusting. But, really, I can't complain as she is a precious gift from God and such a happy and content baby ( I may be eating those words later) :)
So, what do I have in store for everyone? Well, Spring is certainly in the air...well....not quite, but it will be here soon and to help it along I'm going to start making beautiful Spring cards. With Easter and Mother's Day just around the corner it's a good time to get started.
What is your favorite Spring item to use? Whether it's a stamp, paper, paint color? Whatever it is let me know. I will be posting more how to's and pics soon. It's good to be back in the game!

Baby Shower Thank You Cards - Peter Pan
When doing thank you's in bulk it's always best to a simple design, and in many ways less can be more elegant. Below is the picture the cards I made for my baby shower I had recently. I chose a Peter Pan theme for the nursery, one it's not over done, and two it works for a boy or girl.
Since I did find out we are having a baby girl I focused more on Wendy and Tinkerbell.
The thank you cards I made were quite simple as I found green cards (Crafts2000) and I have the Disney Cricut cartridge. I cut out the shadow of Wendy in size 2" and placed it in the center. I didn't glue the picture down, but instead used the 3D stickers to give some dimension to the card. Then I added self adhesive pearl accents in each corner. On the inside I did stamp Thank You leaving enough room to write a personal message.
VOILA! Done.

Giraffe Baby Card
What a weekend! I have to say I have gotten a lot done. Including this one of a kind baby card. This person gave me the gift bag she was using and I was able to match it up with the Create A Critter Cartridge.
After I created the Giraffe, I got to thinking...this needs something. I searched through my other cartridges and had to think outside the box for a minute, and I landed on the Paper Lace. I cut 3 leaf borders at a .5" size and layered them, using green and yellow. The falling leaves were from the punch outs from the leaf border and glued them randomly on the card. And then debossed Bundle of Joy. This card is great for a baby shower or birthday or an announcement. If you would like this card, or something similar, just leave me a comment and I'll be happy to get back to you. My prices are reasonable, and the quality is great!
I'm working on more Thank You cards - more to post later.

Thank You Card - Easy as 1,2,3
If you're anything like me you like to have cards on hand for just about anything...especially Thank You Cards.
For my first "how to" I'm going to show you an easy Thank You card that won't take you long and looks like it took hours - beautiful and elegant. Give someone that did something nice for you or gave you a gift a hand crafted card that comes from the heart. If you're like me you send out a lot of Thank You's and need to have a few on hand. Here is my full proof Thank You card! Here is a picture of what you will need ---
Step 1: Use DCWV Lemon Flower Card stock 6.5" x 4.5" Cut the card stock to size to fit the blank card you chose. In this case I'm using a yellow blank card.
Step 2: Use Cricut Story Book "Thank You" and cut it size 1.25" with the Navy Pearl. This only comes in sheets of 8.5" x 11 - but you can re-use this paper for just about anything. Glue "Thank You" horizontally on card at the top.
Step 3: Punch 3 Butterflies out of green polka dot paper from same card stock pack - DCWV Lemon Flower. Glue Butterflies on a diagnal upward from bottom right corner That's it! Easy as 1, 2, 3! You can create several of these cards to have on hand, or if you're in a pinch it's fast and easy.
